Things are better-ish
I've been having a tough time with life lately. In one sense, I'm thankful for the added depth and perspective I now have. However, I wish things were easier for the ones I love. Whenever I feel exhausted from a long day, I'm grateful that it's because I was lightening the load for someone who couldn't do it alone.
Thankfully, things have been looking a little brighter recently! While we're not completely out of the woods (far from it), things are looking a little more stable and manageable than before. So that's certainly worth celebrating.
I've been at home for the past two weeks to help my family out, and I'm planning on returning to my apartment in two days. I'm happy that things have improved enough for me to feel secure in returning to my daily routine.
I feel like I'm able to finally look forward to the future again! Some upcoming things I'm excited for:
- RHYTHM HEAVEN GROOVE!! It comes out in two days and I have preordered two copies set to arrive on release day. (one for me and one for someone special!) TBH... I'm not much of a preorderer and the times that I have preordered something they kinda turned out to not live up to the hype for long. Topic for a later post! I'm still excited!
- A long holiday weekend with my special someone :)))
- Two new books I recently got to help me study art! One is Stonehouse's Anatomy and the other is a collection of illustrator showcases. I was excited to find both at HPB this past week. I had always been interested in both books but thought they were too expensive to warrant a purchase, so finding them secondhand was a great chance to finally check em out.
- I found a perfect stylus for my AYN Thor at Daiso today. It's just the right size and very precise.
So... yeah! While Life can be really sad and hard, that's all the more reason to appreciate every moment of joy and excitement we can find.
