Some Personal Commitments
A list of things I am currently striving towards:
- Adopt a sense of humility when I feel the desire to offer advice. Instead, seek to understand and internalize the speaker's experience. Jumping to conclusions about what's best for someone doesn't help me connect with them.
- Eat 3 satisfying meals each day. Allow myself to eat out if that's necessary. Eat a variety of fruits and vegetables each day and seek alternatives to meat.
- When presented with free time, intentionally choose how to spend it. Consider the needs behind wanting to pick certain activities and how to best fulfill those needs.
- Remember what matters to me. Not money or appearances or comfort. Human connection, creating, experiencing life fully.
