"Rogue AI" is Bullshit: Article Reading List
I'm not a fan of modern AI tools, but I always want to look at things from a perspective of truth and facts. While I approve of regulation, the recent calls for it from heads of AI companies are, in my opinion, a way to further obfuscate the underlying technology that makes their models work and elude responsibility for their misuse.
There's been some recent panic about "rogue AI" which smelled very fishy to me, but I wasn't sure why. Knowing that the AI models in the news were at their core, turbocharged auto-complete, the framing of these hacking incidents as independently-thinking actions of a computer program didn't make any sense.
