Rearranging the Apartment

I've been doing a lot of rearrangement of my furniture lately. A major move was turning my dining table into an art table instead. It's got me thinking about how a designed environment is instrumental in shaping my behavior and habits. When my space is harmonious with my goals, it makes it so much more effortless to spend time the way I really want to!

I also got my first plant. It's a Monstera deliciosa! I have always loved the shape of its leaves. In my eyes, it feels somewhat like the Jordan 1 or Fjallraven Kanken of plants. Very iconic, maybe so ubiquitous that it feels boring to a "plant person"? In any case, I don't mind because it's my plant and my house! And plant people don't seem like a gatekeepy or snobby crowd anyway. I'm excited to take care of it and a little anxious as well. I want to make sure it grows healthily and I also don't want gnats and bugs in my space. We shall see how this goes. It feels like a new pet.

I also got some groceries today. For dinner is a Southwest-stlye ground beef pasta with cheese sauce and poblano peppers. Tomorrow I'm planning on getting some paper at the creative re-use store and making my own pocket notebooks (using my new creative workspace at home)!
