Princeton Ponders

I'm home!!

I'm homeee! I spent the first day back with my friends traveling from afar, so it didn't really feel like home yet -- just a fun trip. I spent yesterday at my parents' house and that came with everything I expected. The lack of chill was evident. Maybe it's because it was my first day back, but despite that, I still appreciated being at home with my parents and enjoyed all the little niceties of home. Being surrounded by the things of my childhood brought back warm memories, especially with the cold front bringing back nostalgic recollections of high school days and earlier.

Last night my parents and I spent about 40 minutes in bed at night just chatting and sharing stories. That was the highlight of my weekend so far, even with Sprinkle Trinkle AND medieval times (which is hard to top)! Today my dad's having a pretty major and complicated medical procedure so we're all going to the hospital to support and be present. I'm working remotely today and I've yet to see how much work will be required of me. Hopefully little, so I can focus on being with my mom and dad at the hospital.

I hung out with Double-A Battery last night, which was also really heartwarming. We played around on my cello, messed with GarageBand on the iPad, and made a song on his OP-1! It was a classic A/P hangout and it ended with a deep talk in the car outside my house as he was dropping me off. A deep talk or just connecting talk (quality time) is always my most treasured experience.

I'm behind on a couple of things, so I gotta go draw my Bad Guys and fill out my journal for the past week or so. Maybe I'll listen to some music while I do it.
