I rearranged my living room again

Yesterday, I rearranged my living room with my partner! I've been shuffling the furnture around there for a couple of weeks now, but yesterday's shift was the most intense, with the couch, TV, bookshelf, and a desk all moving around to different areas.

My living room serves 3 uses: An analogue workstation, a digital workstation, and a lounging space. For a while, the lounging space was in the middle of the room, splitting the analogue desk from the digital one. Now I've moved the lounging space (couch, TV, coffee table) to the end of the room next to the window, and added a floor lamp from my living room. I switched the digital and analogue desks (again) and moved them to the other side of the room.

It's super cozy now! I've gained a large open space (I can play VR again!), made the lounge space more cozy, and made better use of vertical space. The bookshelf being in the middle of the room fills the wall space better than when it was shoved up into the corner. My plant is no longer obscured by the couch. Sitting next to the entertainment console, it makes the space feel more natural and softens the oppressiveness of the giant black rectangle that is my TV. Moving some posters above the TV helps fill the space and integrate it better into the environment, drawing the eye upwards. Both the TV and the digital desk with my huge monitor are now somewhat hidden inside a recess in the wall, making the whole room feel more calm.

The working spaces, both digital and analogue, are still separate but now I don't have to cross the living space to go from one to the other. Instead of work desk/couch and TV/art desk, it's work desk/art desk/couch and TV, which feels better to me.

I'm at work and I can't wait to come home and see how the space looks during the day. Who knows, maybe I'll get bored with this layout in a couple of months and be itching to move things around again. I don't mind that. What a fun, free way to introduce some variety into your life! I don't think I'll ever get tired of rearranging my living space.
