Enjoying home

I've been having a surprisingly pleasant time at home for the past two weeks. I think having a weekend break in Houston was a nice refresh that allowed me to return home with my social cores filled again.

10 days without blogging feels like a while for me and I feel a little rusty. What's been new since I last wrote? I've been doing Morning Pages from Artist's Way and today was the first day (Week 2, day 4) that the practice actually felt restorative rather than laborious. I also played a lot of cello yesterday and I greatly enjoyed returning to a creative hobby free from any expectations, able to play just for fun and beauty. Thinking about taking it back with me to the apartment, but what's stopping me is thinking about how much stuff I already have there. Perhaps it's time for a clean out. I have also been taking lots of walks here, and the weather has been very conducive to spending time outdoors.

Overall, I'm finding a lot more enjoyment out of the slower pace of life here than I expected. I'm interested in what things will be like when I return to my apartment. Surprisingly, I don't feel an overwhelming desire to get out of here! Check back in with me in a week.
